Marcellus Shale Water Remediation

A major issue in the extraction of shale gas is the remediation of the millions of gallons of flowback water from drilled wells that needs to be treated. While you might not expect resource extraction companies to be a typical client, ensuring the full process of extraction is as clean as possible is important to many energy companies, especially those focused on strengthening their overall ESG scores and stock price.

Our water remediation projects focused on cutting the energy usage in flowback water remediation by utilizing biofilm matrices to passively clean the water and remove heavy metals and other toxins. By saving energy and ensuring a totally clean end product we helped resource extraction companies be as clean as possible, given their obvious constraints.
